A Celebration of SicilyOctober 26 2021 | 8:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Terroir, 24 Harrison St, New York, NY 10013
Okay, okay, here comes the obvious statement:
Sicily is an island unto itself
(I was up all night thinking of that one...).
The foodstuffs are wholly unique when compared to the rest of Italy.
The indigenous grapes are wholly unique when compared to the rest of Italy.
The remaining vestiges of all the peoples who conquered
and occupied this land are innumerable.
The landscape is dramatic and dramatically different,
from the seaside, to the barren plains, to the mountain top.
And...oh ya, there is an active volcano that rears up a little too often.
Tonight, we will celebrate everything about this magical land.
-it will be a walk-around tasting, with 20 different Sicilian wines to engage with
-there will be foodstuffs, from caponata to cannoli, to warm your belly
-there will be speakers, speechifying about all things Sicilian
All guests will need to show proof of vaccination to enter tasting
