a Celebration of Piedmont

We have been having fever dreams about Piedmont since the 1980s, 
when we first discovered the region's wines...
and mushroom risotto and truffles and Nutella and Juventus FC. 
And now our dreams will be fully realized this November night...
-there will be deep dives into the individual communes of Barolo & Barbaresco
-we will venture to the Alto Piemonte to explore
the alternative grand communes of the nebbiolo grape
-a multitude of bianco wines, crafted from indigenous varieties, will open our palates
 for the bigger reds to follow...and there will be the other red grapes too...
let's all say together: dolcetto / barbera / freisa / grignolino / ruche +++
-and since Turin is the birthplace of vermouth, 
we will open our minds with some botanicals at some point
Suffice it to say, this should be one of those 
you have got to be kidding me wine nights*.
Some more specifics:
-festivities begin at 8:00pm on Monday, the 24th of November
-it will be a walk-around tasting, with at least 35 different Piedmontese wines
-there will be foodstuffs, all hearty, all earthy
-there will be conversation
We very much look forward to celebrating this majestic wine region with you 
and reveling in the arrival of the autumnal season.
*by that I mean, I have just tasted through 150 wines, to narrow the list down to 75 wines, 
which I then still need to narrow to 35 selections which is going to be damn impossible...
please expect to be overwhelmed on this night!
