The hills are alive with...Austrian Wine!

24 Harrison Street, New York, NY 10013

Oh lordy, we have been wanting to do this celebration for years.
And finally, after channeling a little governess Maria, we are ready
to sing some songs AND preach the gospel of Austrian wine.
There will be all the usual suspects:
Riesling / Grüner Veltliner / Sauvignon Blanc / St.-Laurent / Blaufränkisch / Zweigelt.
There will be some unusual suspects:
Roter Veltliner / Zierfandler / Rotgipfler / Neuberger.
We will start our journey in the hills surrounding Vienna, of course.
Then we will board our leisure craft and venture along the Danube

to the Kamptal / Kremstal / Wachau regions.
Afterwards, we must obviously venture to Neusiedler See

to check in on the storks...and the wine.
And finally we will go to god's country: Styria.
Oh my, I am exhilarated just typing these words.

Austria has been growing wine for over 2000 years.
Yet, it is the wine region of the moment.
We very much look forward to our journey together.

The specifics:
-it will be a walk-around tasting, with at least 25 different Austrian wines

-there will be foodstuffs, from schnitzel to schnitzel
-we will hopefully have a speaker or two...and maybe a sing-a-long..."doe, a deer..."
