Cottage City Oysters...the mer-roir of Martha's Vineyard in NYC
October 8 2024 | 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM24 Harrison St, New York, NY 10013
OYSTERS!!!!!!!...this is Bryce speaking now...
Why do Oysters (and the people who make them) deserve a Southern California IPA????
-mostly, because they are yummy!!!!!
-they filter our water from all the junk we put in it…
-probably why the Hudson was much nicer when the Dutch arrived
-our part of the world is BURSTING with them...from our neighbors up north, down to the Gulf of Mexico
and all the points in between, oysters are the Merroir of America
-because THE Great Dan Martino of Cottage City Oysters will be joining us on OCTOBER 8TH!
-to give thanks to Chef Bryce for concocting delicious baked varieties of Dan’s Oysters
-because oysters were made by the gods specifically to pair with 4,362 different varieties of Riesling
-because WHY NOT!
The specifics of the event:
-it is a walk-around tasting of oysters...both raw and baked...
-Dan Martino will be shucking his oysters
-Bryce Sorem will be baking oysters
-it is a walk-around tasting of wines that are oyster-centric in their DNA
-it is a walk-around where you get to nibble and taste and talk for 90 minutes
-it is a celebration of Dan Martino's book on oysters: The Oyster Book
-the book arose from research conducted by Dan & crew to make their oyster tours in the Vineyard more enjoyable
-that research has helped to craft one of the most extensive books on oysters in publication
We very much look forward to celebrating oysters
AND Cottage City Oysters with you.
