Sunday Wine School - the Southwest of France
January 18 2026 | 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM24 Harrison St, New York, NY 10013
Yes, we are going there…to the 5th largest wine growing area
in the wine-centric country of France (though the individual wine communes are wholly unique and bear little comparison),
situated south of the region of Bordeaux and north of the Pyrénées Mountains & Spain,
focusing on many an indigenous varietal, crafting a multitude of styles, matching a very hearty cuisine.
Lordy, it sounds almost perfect. And it might very well be.
But with appellation names like Cahors & Jurançon & Madiran & Duras,
the wines are very much not on the front of a wine lover’s agenda.
We plan to change that mindset.
The specifics of the event:
-it will be a seated gathering, at communal tables
-6 wines will be enjoyed during the class + a welcome wine
-there will be a snack, because we want your bellies to be happy
-there will be instruction and conversation...this is a class after all...
lasting roughly 60 minutes
-there will not be a test at the finish of the class
We very much look forward to celebrating
the Southwest of France with you.
