Portugal...the wine tasting

PORTUGAL, the wine country, is our new obsession.
So many new and different grapes to explore...
roughly 250 varieties we have never heard of before.
So many wine regions and terroirs and pockets of vinous creativity, 
all vitally influenced by the Atlantic Ocean.
So much history and forays onto the world stage, 
highlighted by the almighty Henry the Navigator & Cristiano Ronaldo.
So many tins of seafood to explore...
how much salted cod can one human being actually eat!?
So many changes and coolness in the modern Portugal, 
prompting Lisbon to be a travel destination for many.
So much fado music to listen to, 
while I am exploring all manners of Portuguese wines.
All in all, this will be a voyage of discovery for all of us...
and our wine world view will never the same again.
THE SPECIFICS:
-it will be a walk-around tasting, with at least 30 different Portuguese wines 
     -and yes, there will be a Madeira deep dive
-there will be foodstuffs...and do expect some conservas AND salt cod
-we will hopefully have a guest speaker, to discuss the Portuguese condition of saudade...
